Protesters clash with police in Egypt's Alexandria

Thousands of protesters clashed with police in the northern Egyptian city of Alexandria on Saturday despite a call by the army not to congregate after days of anti-government protests.

A Reuters witness said the police used teargas and live ammunition against the demonstrators demanding an end to President Hosni Mubarak , محمد حسني مبارك‎'s rule. He said the death toll in the city since Friday had reached 20.
